The land

Farthings Lane Farm rests high on a sloping plateau due east of Jindabyne and the Kosciuszko National Park. It is 10km off the Monaro Highway, and 24 kilometres south of Nimmitabel between Cooma and Bega. Driving time from Sydney and Canberra is approximately five and two hours respectively.

The farm commands heart-racing views of the surrounding valleys to Kosciuszko in the west and all the way to Bega in the east.

Of the 40 hectares, 32 have been cleared for grazing. The balance is alpine eucalyptus forest.

Although the land was originally farmed, no stock is currently kept on the property. There are no plans to re-introduce stock, but you are free to put forward sustainable proposals.

The property has two dams, one fed by a permanent spring.

The soil has been assayed and is suitable for organic cultivation.

The farm is serviced by a well-maintained 10km dirt road.
